ABOUT
WALLACE ASHTON

Horses have been part of Wallace’s life for as long as he can remember. He grew up on a grazing property where he began riding at an early age. His father’s family played polo in Australia and overseas, in fact they were the first to take Australian horses to Britain to compete in 1930 and then continued on to play in the USA.

Polo is now a vital part of Wallace’s life. His polo field, Muddy Flatts,  nestles in beautiful Richmond, about one hour from Sydney.  The field has been refined over 20 years and now has one of the best playing surfaces in Australia. There you’ll find him working with his team to train his horses to a high standard.

If he’s not there he’ll be mustering cattle on horseback, enjoying polo, playing bridge or having fun with his granddaughter who has just turned one. Wal has enormous energy and passion for helping people.

It was while riding with his daughter through India, South America and Kenya, during the migration in Masai Mara
, that Wal had the inspiration to provide riding experiences for people to enjoy the vast and varied Australian countryside. “Experiencing a country on horseback allows you to connect with the land in a unique way”, he said, “To experience the beauty and places tourists rarely see" ...
... and so Wallace Ashton Experiences was born.
